Fire which caused some serious internal damage at the Italia restaurant last night is being investigated
And investigations continue into a fire which broke out at Italia restaurant last night and caused some serious internal damage.
Leading Fire Officer Tony Jno-Baptiste reported that fire was confined to the ground floor of the two-story building in which it was housed.
The building owned by Angelo Allen of Jimmit, housed Italia restaurant, an establishment which is owned by John Foye of Coulibistrie.
While the cause of the fire is unknown at this time, and no injuries were reported; media personality, and owner of the building which housed the Italia Restaurant, Angelo Allen, expressed sympathy for Mr Foye, his family, and his employees. He said “I feel very sorry for the tenant. It’s a very sad situation for Mr. Foye and his family, and for the several people who work with them in the restaurant.”
He expressed the hope that Foye, who has been his tenant for over a decade, will continue conducting business in the building when it is rehabilitated.
