A Former Agriculture Minister says he is pleased with the progress which has been made thus far in getting access to regional markets to export Dominica's fish.
Dominica's Ambassador to the US and the Permanent Representative to the OAS Vince Henderson says although gradual progress has been made, the government has to continue to create even more markets for the local fishermen.
Henderson was Dominica's Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment from June 2001- January 2004.
He detailed an experience he had as a local fisherman in not being able to access neighbouring markets.
Henderson says there are a lot of opportunities to be derived from the fisheries sector.
