Product Development Officer at the Discover Dominica Authority, Kathleen Cuffy-Jno Jules, has described an ongoing Food Safety training as timely.
A ServSafe® Training and Certification Programme being held at the Fort Young Hotel, is training 30 persons within the hotel, restaurant and regulatory sector in certification as Food Safety Managers. Mrs. Jno Jules says while safe food cannot ensure destination success, food illnesses can help to determine its failure. She says thus far, the Environmental Health Department has been diligent in ensuring that the island has not had any outbreak of food borne illnesses and she pledged the DDA's continued support to the department.
