Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz was born on August 13th 1926, near Birán in Cuba. He died on November 25, 2016 in Cuba. He was the political leader of Cubafrom 1959 to 2008, and transformed his country into the first communist state in the Western Hemisphere. Wiltshire says Castro stood for justice for those who were less fortunate, and became a powerful voice which represented his people.
