Former Health Minister in the DLP Administration, Julius Timothy, has replaced Ian Munroe as Dominica’s new Director, on the board of the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL). Munroe had served on the ECTEL board for the last three years. Minister for Information, Science, Telecommunications and Technology Kelver Darroux said he is confident Timothy will bring a wealth of knowledge to the board of ECTEL.
“Mr Timothy will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in governance to the board as well as in decision-making of the board and provide valid and necessary advice to the minister of telecoms,” he said. Darroux commended Munroe’s service over the years saying he provided very decisive advice to the Minister of Telecoms as well as making very effective and proper representation on behalf of Dominica.
