Former DLP Minister Atherton Martin challenges Tourism Minister’s statements about CBI Program2/2/2016 Former DLP Government Minister, Atherton Martin, is challenging statements made by Tourism Minister Robert Tonge in relation to Dominica's CBI Program.
In a recent statement, Tonge cited rigorous due diligence as the reason for the island's CBI Program not thriving as much revenue gains as that of other countries I the region. This statement followed news that Dominica is not reporting as much revenue from its CBI Program as other islands with similar programs. Martin, speaking on Q95's 'Governance on Q' program Monday night, said, if the due diligence undertaken by the government was as rigorous as described by Tonge, how did an ex- Nigerian Minister currently under investigation for alleged corruption receive Dominican citizenship?
