Former Government Minister, Atherton Martin, is urging Dominicans to pay keen attention to the economic situation in Venezuela, an ally and country which once had one of the most powerful economies in the Caribbean, but is now suffering with a shattered economic system.
Martin says, if Dominican leaders learn from the mistakes of their ally, Dominica could excel, and produce a healthy economy, that is conducive for growth and expansion.
He feels however, that the leaders of Dominica appear to be eroding the country’s democracy, and its possibilities for economic growth.
