Government says it is working to achieve Land Degradation Neutrality by 2030 in keeping with UN Goals
Speaking at a National Target Setting workshop on Monday, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Helen Royer said, Government hopes to achieve the ambitious goal of Land Degradation Neutrality, in efforts to contribute to the UN 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development.
Land Degradation Neutrality is one of the major development goals of the United Nations which targets sustainable development by the year 2030 adopted by world leaders of the United Nations.
In 2015, 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets were announced which sought to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom and also stimulate action over the next fifteen years in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet.
