Government silence on two (2) matters involving the LaPlaine Constituency MP, and the Manager of DBS Radio, is raising eyebrows. "For democracy to work, the people in Government must at all times believe that they are working for the people" says Opposition Leader Lennox Linton.
Linton made this comment as he expressed concern over the lack of action taken by the Government in those two recent incidents. He made reference to recent allegations accusing LaPlaine MP Petter St. Jean of allegedly detaining and beating three farmers from that constituency.
The other incident allegedly involves the physical abuse of a 16-year-old by the manager of the state owned DBS radio on a street in the City.
