Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the Government will soon be engaging members of the public for the renaming of the Princess Margaret Hospital. Skerrit on Wednesday revealed that the groundbreaking ceremony for the state of the art hospital will be held on August 8th 2016. He says they will be engaging the public on suggestions on which distinguished Dominican or International figure this hospital should be renamed after. Meanwhile, he says plans are progressing smoothly for construction of a new hospital for Marigot.
There has been much debate over a hospital for that area with members of the opposition claiming that the government has neglected in that area after the present facility was shut down due to mold infestation. PM Skerrit says a new hospital has always been on the cards for Marigot.
