Government to review priority list in a bid to encourage study in areas critical to Dominica's development
The Government says it will undertake a review of the priority list used by the Ministry of Education and other institutions in a bid to encourage study in areas most critical to the country's development.
During his National Budget presentation, PM Skerrit applauded those who have taken the initiative to pursue studies in a range of disciplines but he says there is now need to refocus training on the specific expertise required to advance his Government's development agenda.
Meanwhile he says Government will also pay special attention to three areas within the Ministry of Education to include training in special needs and support for post graduate study.
Recognizing the need for skilled staff in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, PM Skerrit says support will be provided for those wishing to pursue studies in those disciplines.
