Hand Foggers to aid Dominica's response to mosquito borne diseases says Ag Chief Environmental Health Officer
Mosquito borne diseases are among the leading cause of illnesses and death today and acting Chief Environmental Health Officer, Ferdinia Carbon, says a donation of 50 hand foggers will greatly aid Dominica's response to mosquito borne diseases, outbreaks and incidents.
Dominica has experienced three mosquito borne outbreaks; A dengue fever outbreak in 2010/2011, A chikungunya outbreak in 2013/2014 and the island's health ministry is currently responding to the Zika outbreak.
Carbon told the handing over ceremony of the hand foggers donated by the Chinese Government Friday, of the benefits of these machines.
