Health and Environment Minister, urging all Dominicans to recognize the significance of ‘World Glaucoma Week’
In a recent address, Health and Environment Minister, Dr. Kenneth Darroux is urging all Dominicans to recognize the significance of ‘World Glaucoma Week’. He advised that Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness, & people should practice necessary precautions.
Dominica joins the rest of the world in the annual observance of ‘World Glaucoma Week’, from March 6th to 12th, 2016, in order to increase awareness about the Glaucoma disease.
The Minister emphasized that World Glaucoma Week is a joint initiative between the World Glaucoma Association, and the World Glaucoma Patient Association, with the objective of eliminating blindness normally caused by Glaucoma.
