Health Liaison Officer says revealing location of Zika case could have negative impact and have remained tight-lipped
While Health officials have confirmed Dominica's first case of the Zika Virus, they have remained tight-lipped as to where this case originated.
Many took to the airwaves demanding that health officials say which part of the island the individual resides.
They have been even more adamant after officials revealed that the individual had no history of travelling outside of Dominica in the recent past and that virus was locally transmitted.
Health Liaison Officer in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Martin Christmas, says revealing the community where this case originated could have a negative impact as persons not in the immediate area could assume that they are out of harm's way.
