Health Minister describes ‘Miracle Mission’ services as timely; being offered at no cost to patients
Health Minister, Dr. Kenneth Darroux, has described the Miracle Mission as timely given that these services will be offered at no cost to patients.
The Misión Milagro, or Miracle Mission, is a Humanitarian project that began on July 8, 2004 led by the Governments of Cuba and Venezuela. It aims to help those with low incomes to achieve adequate eye care for various eye problems.
This is the first official mission of the grouping since an agreement was signed between the Governments of Dominica & Venezuela 1 year ago.
Meanwhile, he says notwithstanding this mission, the Government will continue to seek ways to enhance healthcare experience for citizens. He says however, these efforts will ensure that no one is marginalized because of their socio-economic status.
The mission arrives on island Saturday, and begins the first part of their initiative on Sunday
