Health Minister Dr Kenneth Darroux says plans for the construction of a new Marigot hospital continue
Health Minister Dr Kenneth Darroux says plans for the construction of a new Marigot Hospital are continuing.
The Marigot Hospital was closed on Friday June 3, 2016 after reports of mould and fungus infestation which began at the Dental unit of the building.
Services have been moved to the Wesley Health Centre, however plans are afoot to relocate the Accident & Emergency Department along with the Health Centre back to Marigot.
Dr Darroux says the old Geneva High School has been selected to serve as the Accident & Emergency Department.
The Minister who was addressing the 2016 Diaspora forum Tuesday morning, says the building will be retrofitted to the tune of 1.2M dollars.
