Health Minister Dr Kenneth Darroux announces that works on the building site in Bellevue Chopin are progressing smoothly.
Darroux says he has high hopes that the project will be completed next year, allowing at least some Petite Savanne residents to enter new homes by Christmas 2017.
In August 2015, TS Erika tore through Petite Savanne dumping heavy rains and landslides on the community, causing the displacement of over six hundred residents and millions of dollars in damage.
Meantime, Darroux calls on residents to continue to be patient with the Government in this major undertaking, as the project will include an increased number of homes to accommodate extended families, who were previously living under one roof.
