Health Minister says contributions of nurses to improving Health Care System resilience here is overwhelming
Health Minister, Dr. Kenneth Darroux, has described the contributions of nurses here in improving the Health Care System resilience as overwhelming.
He made this statement as Nurses celebrate International Nurses Day under the theme "Nurses: A Force for change: Improving Health Systems Resilience".
Dr. Darroux says nurses are the largest single group of health professionals in the Ministry of Health and their role hinges on all aspects of the health system.
He says reflecting on the recent threat of the Ebola Pandemic, Chikungunya Epidemic, the response to the disaster posed by TS Erika and now the Zika disease, the role of nurses must be recognized.
