Health Officials and Pest and Termite control collaborating to reduce mosquito breeding sources here
Health Educator Adora Leblanc Toussaint says the environmental health department and pest control have been involved in reducing mosquito breeding sources in an effort to lower the chances of the spread of the virus.
She stated that from the health promotion viewpoint, alert cards and flyers have been distributed to utility companies, banks, travel agencies and other areas where individuals frequent, in order to promote vigilance against the Zika virus.
Toussaint noted that new flyers are being created to target the pregnant women. She further stated that Public Service Announcements are in the process of being translated into French and Spanish, and very soon these PSAs will be distributed to local media for constant airtime.
