HIV/Aids Response Unit pleads with revellers to be alert and abstain or practice safe sex this Carnival

Acting Coordinator of the national HIV/Aids Response Unit Allison Samuel is issuing a warning to revellers to be more sexually responsible.
Samuel says the excessive use of alcohol is prevalent during times of festivities and wants the populace to abstain from sex or to protect themselves.
She says the incidents of HIV/Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases is already on the rise in Dominica and also must be done to reduce the cases.

However; Samuel says where protection is concerned condoms are not always safe.
