Hotelier & Former Owner of defunct Air Hummingbird, Samuel Raphael says, establishing a local Airline is a good idea; but Dominica is not ready to undertake such a venture
Hotelier and Former Owner of now defunct Air Hummingbird, Samuel Raphael says though he would like to see Dominica establish its own locally made airline, he told Q95 FM that at this time, he does not believe the country is ready to create and manage an airline.
Raphael explains that though this initiative would assist greatly in increasing tourist arrivals, however considering the shifting away from LIAT 1974 Ltd, He believes working with other airlines willing to service Dominica, is the best way forward at this time.
Raphael says the government negotiating team must also consider providing support to cooperative airlines willing to provide air service to Dominica.
