Justice Dr. Irving Andre criticized DLP administration and law enforcement handling of firearm proliferation

Justice Dr. Irving Andre expressed strong criticism regarding the DLP administration's handling of firearm proliferation, alleging that government officials and law enforcement appear to have allegedly engaged in the glorification of gun violence. 

He pointed out that public boasting about specialized snipers armed with lethal weaponry highlights a concerning mindset toward firearms. Dr. Andre emphasized that empirical and anecdotal evidence consistently shows that the vast majority of individuals involved in gun violence do not possess legitimate licenses, with illegal firearms flowing into the country through specific smuggling pipelines. 

Dr. Andre further warned of a dangerous normalization of gun violence across the nation, highlighting flaws within the legal and law enforcement systems. Recalling a past court case, he noted that a senior police officer attempted to return a firearm to an accused individual during their trial, even though the person's gun license had lapsed and was legally invalid. 

According to Dr. Andre, such incidents demonstrate a profound disrespect for law and order and reflect a systemic failure to properly regulate illegal firearm possession.
