Law enforcement officials say their presence will be significantly enhanced during the staging of all Carnival activities in Dominica.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Richmond Valentine says no effort will be spared in reducing criminal activities.
He says an order is expected to be signed by the Minister of National Security Rayburn Blackmoore which will outline the parameters of conduct.
Meantime, plans are said to be well underway for this year’s opening parade carded for Saturday.
Deputy Chairperson of the Road Parade Committee Charlene White-Christian wants pedestrians to stay away from the parade which kicks off from 3pm on Victoria Street.
