Layne Orlando Royer found guilty of causing death of Samuel ‘Blanc’ Alie by dangerous driving in 2012
Layne Orlando Royer (on the right) has been found guilty of causing the death of Samuel ‘Blanc’ Alie (on the left) by dangerous driving in 2012. The jury returned the guilty verdict on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports are that Samuel Alie, of Boetica living in Goodwill, was struck by a vehicle being driven by Layne Royer on the wrong side of the road. Alie suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at Princess Margaret Hospital.
The incident took place on the Goodwill Highway near the Public Works garage and Ma Boyd’s Bar. Royer will be sentenced on February 19, 2016.
