LIAT air fleet has been downsized from its once 18 aircraft fleet to nine aircrafts due to transitions from one type of aircraft to another.
According to LIAT Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Julie Reifer-Jones, this transition has led to challenges in maintaining the number of flights to serve the entire Caribbean network.
However despite the reduction, the company is proud to have a new fleet.
Two Caribbean heads, PM Roosevelt Skerrit and PM Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, issued calls this week for the regional airline to improve its service.
