The Management of LIAT has confirmed that one of its employees is in police custody in Barbados assisting law enforcement officers with their investigations into a drug-related matter.
According to a statement issued by the airline, the employee in question was taken into custody on Tuesday, shortly after arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport on a flight from St. Lucia. The company says it will offer its full support for, and cooperation with, law enforcement authorities in relation to any investigations where its cooperation is required.
