Using the Bible as reference, UWP Leader, Lennox Linton, stated at a town meeting on Thursday that a man must work for his bread and should not be dependent on any politician for aid. He believes that Dominicans should have more pride in themselves rather than being owned by crooked politicians. Meanwhile Senior Counsel Anthony Astaphan describes these statements made by the UWP leader as a destructive, corrupt and evil use of the bible.
He says there is nothing in the bible that requires one to turn their back on the needy and the foundation of the DLP administration has been from the beginning that “all shall eat”.
