Marigot MP Lennox Linton says he understands a foreign contractor may be awarded a contract to refurbish a school in Marigot, although there are skilled Dominican contractors & workers available in Marigot
The United Workers Party disapproves of the DLP administration’s insistence on awarding construction contracts to foreign construction companies and workers over Dominican Skilled contractors and workers.
UWP Leader and Marigot MP Lennox Linton says he has recently been reliably informed that a foreign contractor may be awarded the contract to refurbish a school in Marigot, although skilled Dominican contractors and workers are available within the constituency, who can undertake this project ‘with ease.’
Linton says Dominican contractors have suffered financially due to the ravages of Hurricane Maria in 2017 and the Covid-19 Pandemic that is ongoing since March 2020.
