Marigot MP, Lennox Linton, says residents of the Marigot constituency are outraged at the deliberate neglect shown by the DLP administration regarding the construction of the Marigot Hospital.
In May 2014 the Marigot hospital was shut down due to termite infestation and services were moved to a temporary location.
Within that same year, residents of the constituency were promised by the government that a new hospital would be built to handle the health care needs of the constituency.
However the new Marigot Hospital has not been constructed and in the new 2016/2017 National Budget, only 300,000 dollars have been allocated for the design and preparatory work at the grounds for the new hospital.
