Member of the Electoral commission says Dominica’s Prime Minister planned visit to Houston is political
This week, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit announced that he would soon visit Dominicans living in Houston, Texas, with a view to providing some form of assistance to them.
Houston was ravaged by Tropical Storm Harvey over the past few days. Member of Dominica’s Electoral Commission, Wayne James says, the Prime Minister appears to be using this catastrophic situation to play on the psychology and the vulnerable hearts of the Dominicans who were affected by the storm.
Dominica’s General Elections are constitutionally due in 2018, and Shillingford says the Prime Minister is trying to score political points.
