Agriculture plays a significant role in the economy of Dominica and the government along with international organizations have been taking steps in ensuring that the Agricultural sector in Dominica is well developed with the youth who are the future generations. That’s according to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Kyra Paul, while speaking at the closing ceremony of the internship/volunteer program between WUSC and the DSC. She is grateful to the Government for recognizing that Agriculture is a key growth engine in the country’s economy, and this is reflected in the ministry’s policies and programs. Dr. Paul added that the Ministry is very hopeful that it will see an increased focus placed on the Agricultural Sector.
