Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are being asked to be vigilant and to exercise caution as a trough system approaches the island chain.
According to the Dominica Met service, this trough system is expected to result in an increase in cloudiness and scattered showers across the area during the next 24 hours.
Thunderstorm activity is possible by this afternoon into tonight with slight to moderate sea conditions expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 5.0 feet.
Meanwhile, a westward moving tropical wave is located in the tropical Atlantic and is expected to approach the area by late Thursday into Friday. Another tropical wave is also located in the far Eastern Atlantic and conditions are expected to become favourable for development.
