Roseau South MP, Joshua Francis, questions the reasons why Dominica's economic growth is falling way behind that of other Caribbean Islands.
Francis, who also has a background in economics, says Dominica boasted of having the largest economy within the Windward Islands in the 1960s. However, he is of the view that somewhere along the line, things were not done properly, and caused the island to lag behind.
Francis says agriculture was the primary source of income back then and he is of the firm view that there remains significant potential in that industry.
