National Security Minister Rayburn Blackmoore says the people of Dominica deserve more from the Dominica Police Force.
And the minister is taking to task the lack of patrol not only in the city of Roseau but across the island.
Blackmoore says the fundamental obligation of the force is to prevent crime and be proactive.
He says this can only be done by way of police presence on the streets, and while some improvements have been made it is not enough.
Meantime, Blackmoore says he's not ruling out making changes to the top administration of the force.
He indicated that someone could be brought in from abroad to head the affairs of the police force in Dominica.
