The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court will commence the New Law Year tomorrow Tuesday September 20th with a ceremonial opening in the form of special sitting of the court.
According to a release, there will be simultaneous special sittings in the other eight member states and territories of the OECS.
The proceedings here will commence with a church service at the Bethesda Methodist Church followed by a procession to the High Court of Justice where the formal court sitting will be held.
Chief Justice, Her Ladyship, Dame Janice M. Pereira, DBE will deliver the opening address at 10.30am from Anguilla under the theme " The ECSC; the movement towards an accessible court".
Meanwhile Court Reporter Carlisle Jno Baptiste, says over 29 matters will be heard during the September criminal session when it gets underway next week.
