Nurse and Midwife, with over thirty years in the profession, Rosie Felix, is asking questions about the government’s proposed Hospital Authority and Health Facility bill.
To many Health professionals on island, this bill appears to be anti-rights for the Public health workers across Dominica. With special concern over the fact that the bill, if passed, takes away most of the employment benefits now enjoyed by Health Professionals in the public service.
Rosie Felix says one of the areas that Health Professionals would like to see addressed is establishment of the proper policy implementation for Universal Health Care, andensuring that Health Services are significantly affordable for Dominicans.

Meantime, DPSU General Secretary Thomas Letang has announced that the Union will be writing to the Government of Dominica, making clear the concerns of the Health Workers on island on this proposed bill, and called for the delay of parliamentary debate on the matter.
