A four day National Biosafety training workshop which took place last week has been described as very productive and well attended. International Consultant and Trainer, George De Romilly, said the workshop forms part of a project on Biosafety which commenced some three years ago geared at building understanding of the concerns of living modified organisms and genetically modified organisms. He says the workshop was attended by individuals from the Customs Division, the Agriculture sector, Forestry division and importers. Meanwhile, De Romilly says this was the first in a series of training programs to expand the training to other persons working in that field.
