Opposition Leader accuses Government of making no effort to amend legislation governing sexual abuse here
Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, has accused the DLP Government of making no efforts to amend legislation governing sexual abuse here.
Sexual abuse, particularly on minors, has been a burning issue here for quite some time now. Advocates have made several pleas to the Government to amend the laws to allow for stiffer penalties and to determine the root cause of the problem.
Linton told party supporters at a UWP meeting at Soufriere Thursday, no effort has been made to increase the protection of children by the DLP in its 16 years in office.
