Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, is accusing the DLP Government of not being transparent, as it relates to the ongoing Citizenship By Investment (CBI) Program. He says Government is not giving truthful or complete disclosures on the program. He claims the figures given in the actual national budget estimates, and those given by Prime Minister Skerrit in his budget address, do not correspond. Linton says "We have not been told exactly what is going on".
According to reports by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, the returns from the CBI program exceeded the $80-million projection made in the 2015/2016 budget. But Linton questions the reason for the government falling short by some $57M in its revenue projection from the CBI Program for 2014/2015, but exceeding the projection the following year, by $200M.
