Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, has called on the Government to correct its 'classification' of CBI Revenue in the national budget report.
"Now, is money from passports sales current Revenue or is it capital revenue" he questioned while presenting his rebuttal to the 2017/2018 budget.
According to him, classifying CBI Revenue as current revenue is false accounting. He says correcting this classification to capital revenue will change the entire financial picture of the budget.
Meanwhile, Linton is once again querying the Prime Minister's financial report as it relates to revenues generated through the CBI Program.
Linton is of the view that the Government is holding passport revenues outside of the consolidated fund. He cites irregular accounts of passport sale revenues in the budget reports from 2015 to present as the reason for his claims.
