Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Lennox Linton says "nothing about this is easy and no decision coming out of this can be a maximally popular decision".
Speaking on Q95's Hot Seat today Wednesday, Linton denied claims that the executive of the party abandoned the member in his time of crisis; he says efforts were made to reach out to the member in question. "The team, has been there for the individual, it is the individual who has decided ...that he was going to abandon his colleagues" says Linton. He stated further that the executive of the party did meet on Monday and it was agreed that the Leader should issue a statement on the party's position. A statement he described as necessary in the circumstances.
