Opposition leader Lennox Linton reveals the intention of DLP member Cassani Laville and House Speaker Joseph Isaac in moving a motion to muffle the Opposition Leader at today’s Parliament session
Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition, Lennox Linton explains why Speaker of the house and DLP Parliamentarians moved a motion to limit the opposition’s rebuttal in parliament. He says the facts are as follows: ‘this all happened in revenge against Lennox Linton in a petty display initiated by Junior Senator Cassani Lavillewho moved this petty motion, to appease Finance Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.’
At the sitting of Parliament held on July 28th 2021, Linton attended parliament for most of the session and left before the finance minister gave his Budget address in his usual style. It must be noted that Skerrit over the past six years has left parliament every time Linton gave his rebuttal to Skerrit’s National Budget Address.
Linton spoke to Q95 FM radio after exiting parliament with his colleagues on his team, who claim that at least one of them was told by a Senior Police Officer inside of the parliament compound, that they would be killed if they touched any one police officer.
Linton was punished because Prime Minister Skerrit and Cassanni Laville requested sanctions for an action that has been perpetrated by Mr Skerrit for years.
