Opposition leader Lennox Linton states that Dominica’s sexual acts law needs to be amended because it is simply outdated.
He says emergency parliamentary sessions have been called for banking bills and hosts of other things, but over the last 16 years, no amendments were made to the Sexual Offences Acts, to protect children & women. Mr Linton went on to say that with the upsurge of enablers that allow adults more creative ways to abuse children, it is a clear indicator of ineffective governance, when legislators fail to amend the law.
