Opposition Leader Lennox Linton says UNECLAC report clearly confirms Dominica’s economy is in decline
Meanwhile, a United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC) Report, having confirmed Dominica’s economy as being the most sluggish in the region, Opposition Leader Lennox Linton notes there have been no obvious efforts made by the government, to expand Dominica’s economy.
Linton argues that the Dominica’s drastic economic contraction was solely due to the passage of Tropical Storm Erika, which damaged several sections of the island on August 27, 2016. He contends that Dominica’s economy has been underperforming for quite some time. Linton further expressed his growing concerns about the absence of job creation in the economy.
