Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, says parliamentary democracy in Dominica is no more after what he describes as 16 years of disgraceful conduct at the level of the Speaker of the House.
Linton made those comments as he spoke to an issue involving Roseau North MP, Danny Lugay.
Lugay, was asked to leave Monday's sitting of parliament for what appeared to be actions in contempt of the rules of the House.
Linton says however, Lugay was a victim of the speaker's insistence that truth and facts do not matter in the parliament.
Quoting the standing orders of the House, Linton says the Speaker is wilfully breaking the laws.
