PM accuses the opposition of allowing their egos to interfere with serious matters of the house with no confidence motion
PM Roosevelt Skerrit has accused the opposition of allowing their egos to interfere with the motion of no confidence which was brought against him by the Leader of the Opposition UWP.
The said motion was defeated when it was tabled in parliament by the Opposition Leader Lennox Linton during the second meeting of the second session of the ninth parliament under the Commonwealth of Dominica constitution last Wednesday.
Fifteen (15) elected members of parliament voted against it, MP for Roseau South Joshua Francis abstained while Linton who tabled the motion, MP for Salisbury Hector John and MP for Roseau North Danny Lugay remained silent when asked by the clerk of the house.
PM Skerrit says the opposition allowed their egos to get in the way of serious state matters.
