Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, is now back on island following a fact finding mission to Haiti and The Bahamas this week.
PM Skerrit on Monday left Dominica at the helm of the regional mission bound for the two countries hardest hit by Hurricane Matthew last week.
During the mission to Haiti, Skerri gave CARICOM's commitment to getting schools reopened in Haiti, while in The Bahamas he pledged 100,000 US dollars from the Government of Dominica towards reconstruction efforts.
While the death toll in Haiti is well over 1,000, speaking following a tour of Grand Bahama PM Skerrit says the devastation is much worse than anticipated. It is a miracle that there was no loss of life said PM Skerrit.
