Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit claims that the ruling DLP has illustrated the most transparency in handling state affairs than any other government. “We have nothing to hide in this government. This government has been the most transparent in the history of Dominica”.
In recent times the UWP has put the DLP under pressure, demanding that they provide more accountability and transparency in handling the country’s affairs. However, Skerrit says the Opposition made “all sorts of negative threats” about the program, “but they cannot substantiate one allegation” against it.
He continued “These people are not interested in anything but the besmirching of Dominica’s good name, and are seeking to destroy the opportunities for the youth, and for the country as a whole, we have also done the most reporting of CBI activities, since the program’s inception in 1993.”
The Prime Minister made those remarks, on Tuesday, at a signing ceremony at the AID Bank, with respect to a facility for making loans available to the tourism and agriculture sectors
