Meanwhile, Dominica's PM Roosevelt Skerrit has expressed condolences on the lives lost following the recent flooding in China.
Just last week in eastern China, over 181 people were pronounced dead/missing following a week of heavy downpours that broke levies, flooded cities and villages and halted public transportation. The rain collapsed more that 40,000 houses and forced the evacuation of nearly 1.5M people in 11 regions. Nearly 600,000 people were in urgent need of basic living assistance. The rain also destroyed more 700,000 acres of crops; the ministry estimated total economic loss of 5.73 Billion Dollars. Skerrit at a press conference Thursday said the deaths were rather unfortunate.
