Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has urged Dominicans resident overseas to make known their skills to the Diaspora office as the Government is in the process of recruiting top level engineers to assist with the redesign of Dominica's roadways.
PM Skerrit made the appeal while addressing overseas Dominicans at the Government's annual Diaspora Forum.
He said Tropical Storm Erika taught them the valuable lesson of the need for constant retooling.
The island's road network was severely damaged during the passage of the storm in August 2015 and PM Skerrit said the Government is determined to ensure that infrastructure is rebuilt and reshaped to withstand all which Dominica is susceptible to.
